Those who were begging for more after the recent lengthy discussion of security and responsibility issues on TLUG --- and even those who were begging for less --- may like this one. http://www.wired.com/news/politics/0,1283,37286,00.html Apparently nike.com was redirected by a spoofer, and the traffic wound up running through the servers of a small ISP. The ISP owner has cried foul and threatens legal action, on the basis that Nike's negligence gave him a bad day. Nike says Network Solutions was negligent. You saw this one coming, folks. :-) Cheers, ---- -x80 Frank G Bennett, Jr @@ Faculty of Law, Nagoya Univ () email: bennett@example.com Tel: +81[(0)52]789-2239 () ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Technical Meeting: July 8 (Sat) 13:30 Place: LinuxProbe Hall Next Nomikai meeting: August 18 (Fri) 19:00 Place: TBD ----------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan
