Ack, I made a typo. It's an NEC AT65Pro (not 165).

Well, since I'm a linux scrub, it doesn't work if I don't use XISP =)
I don't even know how to get Minicom to dial =(
I did read that excellent PPP faq that's in the recommended reading of
tlug... perhaps if I could get minicom working I could try that.

Well xisp produces output to a "named pipe" in the /tmp directory. I tried
to view the file but when I type "less -f <filename>" I get nothing..

Yes, XISP is a frontend for chat and for pppd I believe.

I've attached the two config files .xisprd and .xisppid

I know that username and password are blank in these file-- that's
supposed to be blank for PAP.
