At 14:32 00/2/3 +0900, you wrote: > I've got an IBM Thinkpad 390 that I installed RH 6.1, dual booting 98. > Sound seems to be a real problem, though, despite having found a couple > of sample configs. http://www.jp.ibm.com/linux/lsc/linux_hw/tp39er61.html says you should config the low-level driver to ESS Technology's ES1969 Solo-1 Audiodrive. It will recognize the card, but won't produce any sound! (apparently only the comercial OSS sound driver works well with this card) I suggest you try ALSA instead of OSS (http://www.alsa-project.org) The ES1969 Solo-1 is listed in the supported sound cards table: http://www.alsa-project.org/~goemon/ --- A.Tomita,Jr. atomita@example.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Nomikai Meeting: February 18 (Fri) 19:00 Tengu TokyoEkiMae Next Technical Meeting: March 11 (Sat) 13:00 Temple University Japan * Topic: TBD -------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan
