It sends and receives Japanese Mike> mails just fine: The Gnus MIME support still leaves a bit to be desired from what I've seen and heard. That said, if larsi has released his (Pterodactyl?) Gnus with the native MIME support, it's at least the equal of VM's MIME overall; they have different advantages for MIME. In general, VM is easier to use, Gnus you learn more powerful features more quickly. And the nnimap backend (for IMAP) is very nice from what I hear. The two reasons I recommend VM more strongly than Gnus is (1) I use it daily and can give some support (not to be sneezed at, ne?) and (2) Kyle Jones is a stiff-necked intolerant standards weenie (and a Net God in his own right, shared a desk with tale@example.com). -- University of Tsukuba Tennodai 1-1-1 Tsukuba 305-8573 JAPAN Institute of Policy and Planning Sciences Tel/fax: +81 (298) 53-5091 _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________ What are those straight lines for?
