tlug: xmno and xim WAS Re: XEmacs 20.0 Wnn Input

--------------------------------------------------------
tlug note from Craig Oda <craig@example.com>
--------------------------------------------------------
I had xmno on my system. How is this different than xim? When I
start it under X, it gives an input bar at the bottom of the screen.
However, I don't know how to start the input. An overview of the
different input methods might be a good topic for the next TLUG
meeting.

BTW, I still can't use JDK 1.1.1 appletviewer or any of the
applications that require use of AWT. I posted on usenet
and have found this is a common problem dealing with either
fonts or libraries. I'm communicating with a Linuxer in
Hong Kong who seems to have most fonts installed. Thus,
I think it may be library incompatibility. If you get it
working, can you send me a listing of ldconfig -v, if it
is not too personal.

I'm also curious as to how JDK 1.1.1 Japanese differs from
JDK 1.1.1. Is it just the error message and documentation,
or is there a significant difference?

Regards,
Craig
