Keep in mind that Godwin's FAQ (and a similar one which I have--we cross
link to each other though) are written more for newcomer type lists.

There are several beginner oriented Linux related yahoo lists for
example, and very often people post (top posted, hijacked and untrimmed)
messages to Linux_newbies, Linux and Redhat.

I think that Josh's point was more to simply note it and say keep an eye
on it, so to speak. The majority of tlug members are a bit more versed
in netiquette, and if they do cross-post, it's a considered action, done
for a reason.

Sure, some may, but, I bet many don't. Anyway,

Mark, hope you realize I'm not flaming. :) I'm a wimp.

Hopefully, this won't become a bikeshed discussion (see the FreeBSD faq
on freebsd.org if you don't get the reference.) I think that most
members of this list know when it is and isn't appropriate to
cross-post. (We also know to keep our sigs short, but what the heck,
some of these Buffy quotes need the space.)

Buffy: I don't wanna' bug Giles. He's still kinda' twitchy
when it comes to the subject of Angel.

Xander: Oh, it must be that whole 'Angel killed his girlfriend and
tortured him' thing, and Giles is petty when it comes to stuff like
that.
