Thomas,

I am not aware of any place specialising in Hitachi repair (though you
may have some luck researching at http://www.hitachi.co.jp/).

But I have been really pleased with Quick Garage. The idea is you take
your computer in, sit down at a table, and watch while the technician
fixes it. You don't get up again until it's fixed :-).

They don't list Hitachi as one of the brands they work on on their web
page, but it may be worth a try anyway. And if they can't fix Hitachi
stuff, they will probably be able to direct you to some place that does.

Their web page is at http://www.gssltd.co.jp/
