[Lingo] Buy-in

Hello all,

I've looked up some dictionaries but could not find a definition of
*buy-in* (sounds like a British English?).

I guess *buy-in* means *involving*, is that correct?

>Project communications are often lacking resulting on lack
>of *buy-in* from key stakeholders.
