tlug: mail weirdness

Greetings,

I'm having a weird problem with my mail and was wondering if anyone
had any ideas or suggestions. I recently changed the way I was doing
mail (netscape) to a fancier, more japanese-capable setup using mutt
and all sorts of fancy procmail filters. Naturally, I've broken a few
things getting it set up.

After tweaking everything for a while, everything seemed to work.
Except for one glaring problem that I just noticed today and can't
seem to figure out for the life of me.

All of my mailheaders now contain the following incorrect information:

from: john seebach <jseebach@example.com>

where they should read (and do when I send mail from any other mail
program, including elm, pine, and communicator):

from: john seebach <jseebach@example.com>

I know nothing about globecomm.net, in fact. I've never associated
with it in any way, and can't figure out why all my mail seems to be
coming from there.

I've read the mutt documentation. I've grepped through several
directories (my mutt directory, /etc/, another one which I forget),
looking for "globecomm.net" so I can figure out how it's getting
there. Everything SEEMS to be in order. I've gone over my exim setup
again and again, and that doesn't seem to be the problem (especially
since mail sent from another client doesn't seem to have the same
problem.)

I'm using mutt 0.95.4i-jp2 (from the debian mutt-ja package) and exim
2.05

Configuration files available upon request.

And yet, I have a feeling that this is related to neither of those and
that I'm just being dense and missing something really obvious. Any
ideas? Because I'm out of them.

thanks very much
john seebach
