tlug: nmh problem..cannot compose a message

Hi, another complaint......
  I usually use exmh which uses nmh inside, however sometimes I cannot
compose a message with it.   For eg. comp says:

comp: unable to open default components file components: No such file or
directory

However, as another user (ex. root) I can use comp.   repl doesn't work
either.   So I am writing this using pine....   too many complaints
today...sigh
