I missed the information on tlug-post, but thanks to Jonathan I am up to speed on this. I get my mail off of a different server than my ISP, so the attached e-mails appear to have been misunderstood as spam since they are from my ISP account. I followed the attached English instructions to the letter with changes for Linux, but after the phone picks up and handshakes, pppd never comes on-line. I thought of one thing: maybe I am not giving it enough time, in other words, maybe that server is slow or somehthing. I will try to do it again later today.
