Hello. I having some trouble with our DNS server. prompt> ping "hostname" fails with unknown host. But nslookup is able to look up host names and can also return the names of all queried hostnames. I am using the Debian potato distribution with the newest glibc. Is there anyone else using glibc 2.1.1? Do you have to recompile the various network utilities? Thanks in advance. And please excuse my reading all replies on Monday.
