Looks fine to me, as long as the libgtk.so and libgtk.so.1 point to
gtk 1.0.5.

export GTK_CONFIG=/path/to/1.1.9's/gtk-config

is probably what they had in mind.  If you installed 1.1.9 _after_
1.0.5, then /usr/bin/gtk-config ought to be the right thing.  If it's
not, I don't know why not.
