tlug: Booting Linux

Hi everyone!

I've got a little problem here.

When booting linux, everyone can enter single user mode as root
specifying the boot option

	boot: linux_kernel init=/bin/sh.

This is rather inconvenient in case of a linux pool accessible 24
hours a day by everyone coming by.
It can be prevented by using password protection for the images,
but then remote booting becomes impossible (because someone has
to enter the password). So it is not exactly a long-term solution.
Does anyone know wheter there is a way to get lilo to prompt for the
password only if boot parameters are specified?
Or, even better, does someone know a more convenient solution to prevent
unauthorized booting of the kernel?

Thanks in advance
