tlug: Time for action

(yes, I've crossposted to all three mailing lists. Flame away.)

All,

TLUG is without a December meeting place. TLUG is also without either a
president or a vice-president.

This is bad. The fact that the president-pro-tem announced his departure
and NOBODY said ANYTHING indicates that TLUG is becoming a mass of apathy.

If TLUG is to survive, we need an executive committee. Right now, there
are but two members left: Ken Harada and Jim S. I move that Ken assume
the duties of TLUG president until a general election can be held.
I further move that Jim S assume the duties of TLUG vice-president until a
general election can be held.

This motion needs to be seconded, and a vote needs to happen. If _you_
don't reply to this issue, then what are you doing in TLUG? It's _your_
user group -- take an interest.

If the December technical meeting is to take place, it needs a place to
happen. Kanto-area university students/staff: could you please check into
the possibility of borrowing a meeting hall for the December meeting?
Fellow corporate slaves: would your office have space for 50-100 people,
and would your management let TLUG hold a meeting there?

Complacency/apathy is going to kill TLUG, people. Or worse -- TLUG will
live on as the Turbo Linux User Group.

Let's not let that happen.
