Anybody who knows enough to care whether it's RH 4.1 or 5.2 should know better than to care if it's irrelevant to performance. That is, it sounds to me like Fredric's company is doing embedded systems; calling it a multi-processing 32-bit system driven by a multi-tasking threaded OS should fake out the unwashed. It's sad that Japanese companies haven't learned this yet in computers, although they're the best in the world at implementing it in, say, auto manufacture. -- University of Tsukuba Tennodai 1-1-1 Tsukuba 305-8573 JAPAN Institute of Policy and Planning Sciences Tel/fax: +81 (298) 53-5091 __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ What are those two straight lines for?
