OK, I have a program here that I'm trying to recompile to work with TL 3.0... xhextris. It has a font, hex20.pcf, that needs to be installed in order to work. I always thought, as do xhextris's docs, that to install it I just need to copy the pcf file to /usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc and run mkfontdir /usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc. No errors are spewed when I do that, but I can't get the stupid X server to recognize the font. I even tried gzipping the .pcf file, since all the other fonts in misc are gzipped, but to no avail. the misc path is in my X fontpath. What am I doing wrong here? -------------------------------------------------- Scott M.
