I think so.

Yes, one stanza of my dhcpd.conf file looks like:
    host windup {
        hardware ethernet 00:10:57:00:26:4F;
        fixed-address windup.dskk.co.jp;
    }
which makes sure the NetWinder always ends up with the same IP address.
(For much the same reason that Frank mentioned... I wanted to make it
trivial to figure out if the new kid on the network was causing trouble.)
