Bill Gates never said that, it's just an urban legend.  People have been
talking this "books are gonna disappear any day now" kind of stuff for a very
long time, and it's no where near happening.  It will be many years before
that even starts to happen.  So far, the number of books published keeps going
up and up, and if somebody does develop a worthwhile technology for electronic
books (there isn't any now), guess what the first thing that will happen is?
Somebody will write a paper book about it :-)
