Hi, I am a Chinese now working in Japan, I do not understand why
jp-keynoard has such a layout for some keys, such as *, @, ;, :
[] {} |.

I never find any advantage of such a layout.
Perhaps this is similar to NEC PC-9800?

And in our company, no Japanese staff use the kana-keys to
input Japanese characters. All of them use ROMAN-ji.

I switch from computer to computer, so I must confirm what type of
keyboard I am using.

Does any one know what is the merit layout of jp-kb
