I won't complain, if that's what you're worried about ;-).  But ... do
M$IE and Netscrap recognize it without it?  As you point out, it seems
that most implementations do recognize the "for private use by
consenting adults only" "x-" format.

This is one where you have to decide whether standards conformance or
interoperability with non-compliant implementations is more important.

I tend to believe in revolution by immiseration of the Ma$ses, and
would plump for conformance.
