Re our recent discussion on the pros and cons of ease-of-use of computer systems, you my find http://www.businessweek.com/1998/35/b3593100.htm interesting...or, amusing? The article is about the Back Orifice tool from the Cult of the Dead Cow and says, Worse, it's a breakthrough in easy-to-use hackware. Computer-security experts say the software is as simple to use as any Windows program and turns the novice into an instant--and potentially dangerous--hacker. Disclaimer: I don't buy into the upheaval made over this tool, but the reactions are interesting to observe and, at least, it puts some pressure on the public relations department of M$.
