tlug: SCSI question

Gee, the list is really quiet today, I must be almost the only one at work :-)

Can new SCSI drives (that is Wide, Ultra, Fast, Fast Wide,
UltraFastBigWideHonkingDriveThatNeedsItsOwnGenerator) be hooked up to plain
old SCSI controllers? That is, if I popped a new (or newer, anyway) SCSI
drive into a Sparcstation 2, would that work with its SCSI controller? If so,
are any adapters required?

Yeah, I know the drive will probably have more CPU power than the machine :-)

Thanks,

Jonathan Byrne
