Jonathan, I should have added this to the last e-mail regarding your need for a 4m machine. The RH 5.1 4c boot disk images are on RedHat's website, and they apparently work for at least SS2's. Here's the blurb from Eric at RedHat: > There are floopy boot images for Red Hat 5.1 on the SPARC now available. > They also work fine on the Sun4c :-) Please test them, and let us know > if they work. They are available from > ftp.redhat.com:/updates/5.1/sparc/images. Copy both images onto floppies > boot the boot.img disk, and put in the ramdisk.img disk when you're > prompted for it. You should end up in the install shortly after. > Good luck! > Erik Joe Marchak joem@example.com -------------------------------------------------------------- Next Nomikai: 17 July, 19:30 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 Next Meeting: 8 August, Tokyo Station Yaesu central gate 12:30 featuring Linux on multiple platforms: i386, Sparc, PA-Risc, Amiga, SGI, Alpha, PalmPilot, ... -------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsor: PHT, makers of TurboLinux http://www.pht.co.jp
