My position then, and now, is that it's OK. I agree with Steve T
that it should come from a list member and be somewhat relevant
to Linux and/or the interests of the TLUG community.

As for recruiting at meetings: the old saw, "It ain't what you
know but who you know that's important." rings true - go for it.
