of course:

tar -Mvf /dev/fd0 file.rpm

you can't make compressed multipart TAR archives, though, but this will do
a multipart floppy archive of file.rpm.  I do this all the time.  When you
uncompress it, just tar -xvf /dev/fd0 on the target machine with the first
floppy in the drive.
