tlug: Three-button mice

Does anybody know if the Microsoft Intellimouse functions as
a three-button mouse?  The wheel is clickable and has some
functions associated with a wheel-click in
Intellimouse-aware Windows apps, so maybe it's really a
three-button mouse with a wheel instead of a middle button?
