I don't know.  However, you might try the XEmacs version (which has
slight divergences from the FSF's Emacs's dired), and there's also a
new package called eudc for XEmacs.  I imagine it works for Emacs, but 
setup might require a little fooling around since the FSF doesn't
support packages (yet?).
