Then I really don't know why the mail list does not accept this mail. I thought seagate.kei is not registered on the internet. The mail list checks that up and rejects it. While yha.att.ne.jp thinks it is strange because it differs from the name ppp accounts gave, namely 29.gate6.yokohama.att.ne.jp, for example, it still accepts. > An alternative would be to set up a cron job to get new mail using > fetchmail, which will dump it into your local spool using SMTP. I actually use fetchmail to download an ISP mail account to local spool file. Then use the local spool file to read a mail in this way I don't have to online to read a mail. The solution I come up with is to symbolic link INBOX to a new spool file whose name corresponds to new local mail account. But this solution is affected by the panic event that the file is erased. The solution should be to use fetchmail to respool the file which is used solely by VM. Regards, Kei.
