Not any more.  It's done now, in 21.0 betas, at least for kterm, and
probably for kon, if you set LANG correctly.  It's not reliable, IMHO,
because Mule is persnickety (which is why it didn't used to work,
too).  But those of us who have tried it haven't been able to break it
recently.
