tlug: a Netscape puzzle

Hi all,

I was just spending a little leisure time in
alt.destroy.microsoft when I came across a post from Jamie
Zawinski (the guy that wrote a lot of the original Mosaic and
Netscape code (I think)). Without hesitation I clicked on the
link to his homepage and was surprised when the meteor shower
(in the upper right corner) turned into a compass....

Now how did he do that, I wondered, so of course I opened a new
window to view the source. In it I found:

<ANIM KEY=zs7NzcrM1dfG29PM SALT=29PZ
HASH=38jT68fN38hZ68lN01HRT2vnWdVX91NZZ1N3>
<!-- Questions about the preceding line will be gleefully
ignored. -->

Well, since *he* doesn't want to answer the question I wondered
if any of you knew how he was doing it?

(This would be a wicked cool thing to put on the TLUG homepage;-)

Later,

Jim S.

ps I didn't save the URL, but I think it's
http://people.netscape.com/~jwz/
