I'd tend to agree with the assessment of the push-format
mailing list.   The bulk of the mailing list is still kind
of like tech support.  To me, this is good for a mailing list. 

I've found the BBS style useful
for socializing, but it is more time consuming.  Still, it
it might be useful for sub-groups.  For example, a special
interest group in TLUG might want to test out the BBS 
functionality of some system.  Alternately, if we start
getting a really large volume of traffic, it might be something
to consider.
