I was wondering if I can > install tetex and Japanese latex on the same system You just have to copy the CJK style files into a directory (e.g CJK/) in the texmf/tex/latex subdirectory of your teTeX directory. Additionally you need to add the your japanese fonts to the fonts/ directory of teTeX. After that you should be able to use latex for japanese documents. I have not tried, if latex2html works with japanese documents. (I also haven't tried to send e-mail with japanese characters, so the following example might not come over as expected) Here is a small example: %---------------------------- cut here ------------------------- \documentclass{article} \usepackage{a4wide,CJK,longtable} \setlongtables \begin{document} \begin{CJK}{JIS}{wmin12} \fontsize{14}{16}\selectfont \oddsidemargin 0pt \evensidemargin 0pt \begin{longtable}{|r||r|r|r|r|} \caption*{ÂÀÍÛ·Ï}\\ \hline ÏÇÀ±&¼ÁÎÌ&Ⱦ·Â&Ì©ÅÙ&ÂÀÍۤε÷Î¥\\ &[kg]&[km]&[g/cm$^3$]&[É´Ëükm]\\ \hline \hline \endhead \hline \endfoot ÂÀÍÛ&$1.99\times 10^{30}$&$696000$&$1.41$&\\ \hline ¿åÀ±&$3.2\times 10^{23} $&$2400 $&$5.30 $&$58 $\\ \hline ¶âÀ±&$5.8\times 10^{24} $&$6100 $&$4.95 $&$108 $\\ \hline Ãϵå&$5.98\times 10^{24} $&$6378 $&$5.52 $&$150 $\\ \hline ²ÐÀ±&$6.1\times 10^{23} $&$3400 $&$3.95 $&$228 $\\ \hline ÌÚÀ±&$1.9\times 10^{27} $&$71350 $&$1.33 $&$778 $\\ \hline ÅÚÀ±&$5.7\times 10^{26} $&$60400 $&$0.69 $&$1428 $\\ \hline Å·²¦À±&$8.7\times 10^{25} $&$24850 $&$1.56 $&$2872 $\\ \hline ³¤²¦À±&$1.03\times 10^{26} $&$26500 $&$2.27 $&$4498 $\\ \hline ̽²¦À±&$1.5\times 10^{22} $&$2000 $&$0.5 $&$5910 $\\ \hline \end{longtable} \end{CJK} \end{document} %---------------------------------------------------------- Marcus -- ----------------------------------------------- Dr. Marcus Metzler Department of Physics Toho University Miyama 2-2-1, Funabashi, Chiba 274 Japan e-mail : mocm@example.com ----------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------- Next TLUG Nomikai: 14 January 1998 19:15 Tokyo station Yaesu Chuo ticket gate.
