I broke down and bought the ISO 10646 version of the Unicode standard; the version 2 Unicode book is on back order or something. I also got ISO-2022 (code extension techniques, ie, for multi-lingual applications using national standard codes instead of Unicode) at the same time. Anybody who wants to know what they really say, give me a buzz. They're pretty dry reading though :-), and the systematic parts are surprisingly short (only 15 pages of definition and anouther 25 pages of text appendix for ISO 10646). If I can come to the next meeting, I'll bring 'em along.
