Mikio,
we're still discussing if Jan. 8th is a good date.  You may want
to tentatively set it aside.  Also, I'm still collecting 
feedback on whether or not we should plan a speaker/presentation
style technical talk or not.  

If we go for the speaker/presentation, we need a room
with access to an OHP.
