tlug: Kernel compile problem

  Hi all,

Just thought I'd apply the last two (stable) kernel patches and
move from 2.0.30 to 2.0.32. Most unexpectedly, I'm getting the following
compile error:

make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.0.0/drivers/scsi'
make all_targets
make[3]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.0.0/drivers/scsi'
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.0.0/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-strength-reduce -pipe -m486 -malign-loops=2 -malign-jumps=2 -malign-functions=2 -DCPU=586 -c -o aic7xxx.o aic7xxx.c
In file included from aic7xxx.c:124:

aic7xxx.c: In function `aic7xxx_detect':
aic7xxx.c:5792: `proc_scsi_aic7xxx' undeclared (first use this function)
aic7xxx.c:5792: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
aic7xxx.c:5792: for each function it appears in.)
make[3]: *** [aic7xxx.o] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.0.0/drivers/scsi'
make[2]: *** [first_rule] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.0.0/drivers/scsi'
make[1]: *** [sub_dirs] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.0.0/drivers'
make: *** [linuxsubdirs] Error 2

Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm using the same
/usr/src/linux/.config that I compiled 2.0.30 with. Surely this is not
the problem, though. The problem file aic7xxx_seq.h was apparently
modified during this morning's patching.

This is line 484-5 of that file:

#define AIC7XXX_SEQ_VER "$Id: aic7xxx.seq,v 4.0 1996/10/13 08:23:42 deang Exp $"
        0xff, 0x6a, 0x93, 0x02,

I have no idea how to unpatch and repatch, or I'd try that. Any help
would be much appreciated.

  Cheers,
