tlug: pppd and ioctl

Hi all,

I hadn't taken a look at /var/logs/syslog in a while and when I did this
evening I found this:

schweiz:/var/log$ tail syslog
Oct 22 21:43:50 wormhole pppd[215]: input: Unknown protocol (80fd) received!
Oct 22 21:53:09 wormhole pppd[215]: default route ioctl(SIOCDELRT): Bad address

in droves. I'm not really up on the ioctl system call (something about device
numbers and jump tables) and I couldn't find anything about 80fd or SIOCDELERT. 

>From a user perspective everything seems normal - mail, ftp, http etc. don't
seem to be affected so I'm not overly concerned, but I _am_ curious as to
what's causing this.

Any ideas?
