-------------------------------------------------------- tlug note from Jason Molenda <crash@example.com> -------------------------------------------------------- Steve: > What's great about libc6, anyway? Is it worth changing? IMHO the most important difference is that Ulrich Drepper is responsible for it. libc5 et al were based on an old version of GNU libc and went off on their own way; libc6 is where Ulrich pulled it back together into the single glibc if I understand correctly. Strangely enough, many of the packages that HJ Lu maintains seem to end up branching off like this. :-/ Jason Next TLUG meeting is Saturday October 11, 1997 ----------------------------------------------------------------- a word from the sponsor will appear below TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System. www.twics.com info@example.com Tel:03-3351-5977 Fax:03-3353-6096
