-------------------------------------------------------- tlug note from "Stephen J. Turnbull" <turnbull@example.com> -------------------------------------------------------- A friend asked me what I would buy in a notebook PC for a Windows/Linux multi-boot system. I have no idea, but I will probably be looking in September myself (my most up-to-date machine is a Gateway P133, and the two machines I use most are a 486DX/50MHz EISA box and a 486SX/25MHz IBM notebook ;-) Any suggestions? How about the tradeoffs among RAM vs processor vs HD capacity vs other goodies (sound, 256X CD, built-in MPEG, MMX, TV broadcast capability, etc :-)? My friend is looking in the 350,000 yen range, I might go higher than that. Steve -- Stephen J.
