I have a PC98 which I was thinking of switching to Linux as well.
One thing about the older machines is that the 3.5" floppy is 1.2Mb
instead of 1.44Mb.

Also, if I remember correctly, I saw a laser-5 produced Linux for PC98
kit in their store.
