Curious. I tried that some moons ago, but about half-way into the Linux boot there were multiple kernel panics and a general melt-down. As I recall it, it was in the area of getting at the file-system. Anyway, once was enough. Yes, I knew I could do that, but since my wife and kids are in the Win95/DOS world (my wife still likes goode olde PCWRITE, but she's gradually learning Word), it is more harmonious to let the boot go that way, and I can catch it with an F8 when I want Linux.
