I just checked out the Korean site.  It looks like it is the
standard debian distribution from ftp.debian.org.  The
debian-JP site at ftp.linux.or.jp is a different project from
the Debian/GNU project and has packages that have been patched
for Japanese support.  This is similar to the way that the JE
project people patched the Slackware packages for Japanese
support and put some Japanese specific things in there like
the xmarufont, canna, wnn, kinput2, etc packages.  I've been
pushing Debian-JP instead of Slackware (Japanese Extensions)
because of the modular approach and dependencies of Debian.
