The lab has just bought a new Pentium Pro machine (its a Gateway G6-200), that came with a CD-R drive. The kernel identified it as: Vendor: MATSHITA Model: CD-R CW-7501 Rev: 1.4D Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 I'm trying to use cdwrite-2.0, but its documentation says only Philips, Yamaha and HP drives are supported. By any chance, does anybody know of a new version/another package that supports the Panasonic/Matsushita drive? And what is the procedure to write a CD-ROM, anyway? -tomita. --- Alberto Tomita, Jr. http://www.ishiilab.dnj.ynu.ac.jp/~Alberto Yokohama National University e-mail: alberto@example.com ----------------------------------------------------------------- a word from the sponsor will appear below ----------------------------------------------------------------- The TLUG mailing list is proudly sponsored by TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System.
