I use 3.1.2e because I need it to support the Mach64 accelerated chipset
that is found on the Intel Atlantis motherboard.  Generally, if Xfree86
3.1.2 is working in your setup, I would strongly recommend against switching
to one of the beta version.  Linux binaries are available at ftp.xfree86.org
