I can't find any docs on using >RedHat, though their home page offers to sell it for USD 14.95. Make sure you have glyph, control-panel, netcfg, timetool, usercfg apps. These are the GUI apps that do all the fancy setup and config for you. Therefore, you will need X-Winows up and running too. After you have this up and running, you need to get the rpm, cpio, rpmconvert binaries from the upgrade directory under the RedHat directories. run rpmconvert, which converts the rpm database to the 3.0.3 version. Then you can run the upgrade script and it will upgrade what ever you have installed. From there you can add or remove rpms at will. I ran into the same thing here. Had an old CDROM version. I have done this numerous times so if you run into problems drop me a line. Regards, Mark A. D'Arcy Electronic Data Systems, Ltd. C/O General Motors Japan, Ltd.
