tedm@example.com (Ted Matsumura) says Try putting an "X3" in the dial string. That was my first guess; good thinking Ted. :-) What this does (possibly among others) is clear the "wait-for-dial-tone" capability. You may need to add explicit waiting (commas) between your outside line access code and the phone number. If you're not using an outside line access code, then probably "X3" won't help. Jim S. asks BTW Seyon dials out with no problems. Is there a way of finding out what string it uses then give it to dip? Yes. Unfortunately, it's a little complicated to explain where to look. (You knew that; seyon is an X application.) The first place to look is ~/.seyon/startup; if no joy, do "man seyon" and check out the "FILES" section near the end of the man page. It explains where you might find all the seyon configuration files. -- Stephen J.
