- Subject: [tlug] Technical books for sale/giveaway
Hi,I've compiled a list of books that I intend to get rid of over the next few months or so and put the list on my blog site: https://larabell.org/techbooks-2024/.There are way more books than I could drag to a formal meeting for auction so if anyone is interested in one or more books, let me know. I'll try to keep a first-come-first-served list based on the email arrival times. It would be great if the recipients would commit to making some sort of donation to TLUG in lieu of an actual auction.Ideally, the recipients would pick them up from my place in Nakano or arrange to meet at either Shinjuku or Nakano stations. I'm retired these days so I can meet elsewhere at a reasonable time of day and carry a reasonable number of books but it would be nice to get a free coffee or even lunch for the trouble ;-).I'll be out of town for a week from the 17th to the 24th of December but mostly around for the rest of the time. Any books that don't get claimed by... say... the end of January will likely go to the Salvation Army or to BookOff (neither of which will be all that happy to get technical books in English, of course, so they may end up in the recycle bin ;-).Help me get these books in the hands of someone who can use them. Thanks...
