Hi Jim

Is it just frustrating or something you want to fix.

In my case I've decided I like the computer enough to keep it although I could still return it with no penalty.  I'm afraid this may be one of those periods where there' are massive changes in PC architecture and Linux could whither.  And I can't stand Windows.  This last encounter where I couldn't even do an install without a microsoft login really pissed me off.

Since it comes back up within seconds of suspend, I need to fix it.  It's a new computer and so far I've gone back three revs of the OS and am still seeing the same problem.  I'm starting to see where in the logs to look to see why it's happening.  What's scary is I'm seeing BIOS and ACPI in the messages and that may be stuff I can't do anything about.

Should I keep posting progress to the list or post a result if there is one?

Also, advice on how to debug the suspend process would be welcome.
