You are not be alone there, although the cause is probably different. My 
ex-lease Thinkpad X1 running Fedora Silverblue seems to have developed 
insomnia. It will appear to go to sleep, but sometimes when I come back, 
it is quite warm and eager to see me.

It also frustratingly (*almost* always) comes out of sleep if I unplug 
it from its USB-C charger, even with the lid closed.
