   There is actually a quite famous example of this, and it involves a
quite famous and important paper: George Gamow and his student Ralph Alpher
wrote a paper on the origin of the chemical elements. Gamow felt they
simply had to add Hans Bethe's name to the paper, so that the author list
read "Alpher-Beta-Gamow". (Bethe did 0% of the work, and was only informed
later that his name was added to the paper.)

   Yes, physicists can come up with real knee-slappers.
